Eye Calculator app for iPhone and iPad

Sometimes I had to interrupt the work in the clinic for going to the computer in order to do some specific calculations. This is particularly annoying if you have any tool you may need at hand but you feel overwhelmed when you have to do mental calculations. Sometimes the calculations are so complex that you don´t have another option that using the computer or you forget the functions to calculate some important variables.

Nowadays there are a lot of mobile applications to make calculations in vision sciences but you have to install or buy many apps to do different calculations. In addition, you have to remember the app by which you did the calculations and you don´t have the possibility to get support for adding new functions that you can need.

Thinking about how to solve these issues I planned to create a Vision Sciences Calculator for compiling a lot of functions.

Functions included in this version:
- Distometry with contact lenses.
- Diopters to micras (and viceversa) for Defocus aberration
- Compute the final toric contact lens after over-refraction and considering contact lens rotation.
- Prismatic effect induced by a toric lens decentration.

The app support English and Spanish Languages.
